Gina's Starry Night Ring

All of us here at Fox's Seattle love jewelry. But Gina lives, eats, sleeps, and breathes jewelry! She is a graduate gemologist with a true passion for gemstones and jewelry design. If any of us ever has an obscure jewelry-related question, she is sure to know the answer. She even keeps a jeweler's loupe in her purse!

Gina first saw this stunning Todd Reed design 1.5 years ago when she was helping a client look for a large, unusual, and non-traditional engagement ring and brought this ring in from Todd's studio in Colorado for her to see. The client ended up choosing a different Todd Reed ring, but Gina was hooked. She started saving for it and last week the ring was finally hers!

This stunning ring is made of white and grey diamonds set into oxidized sterling silver, which really makes the diamonds pop. The bezel is Todd's signature coin edge in palladium, and the shank of the ring is palladium as well. Gina originally saw this ring with black diamonds sprinkled in, but custom ordered it with white and grey diamonds only because it reminded her of a starry sky. Growing up in a town of 537 people in rural Minnesota, she loved to look up and search for Orion's Belt in the night sky. She loves that this ring is both a major statement piece and a whimsical, evocative piece all at the same time.

If you'd like to get a closer look at this gorgeous ring, stop by! Gina might even let you try it on.

Fox's Seattle Loves: Bryr Clogs

Here at Fox's Seattle, we appreciate the skill and dedication it takes to make something by hand. So when we discovered these beautifully made clogs on Instagram we knew we'd found something special.

Bryr's website says it best: "Bryr Studio is a collection of hand-made clogs inspired by the West Coast lifestyle. Based out of their workshop in the Dogpatch district of San Francisco, every pair of Bryr clogs are hand-made by Isobel and her small team. Dedicated to the simple idea that the best products are made with the best materials, Bryr clogs are constructed using the strongest and most supple American leathers, and traditional European solid wood bases."

To order, you choose from 2 heel heights, 18 different leather colors, and several different styles to create your own custom pair. The possibilities are so endless that we had a hard time choosing. In the end, the combination of neon orange and veg tan leather seemed like the perfect mix for spring in Seattle. We think they look amazing with our collection of 24 karat gold jewelry from Gurhan!

My Favorite Things

Some of my favorite things in life are mint green. Mint chocolate chip ice cream cones, mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches, mint chocolate chip ice cream milkshakes, you get the idea. So when I saw this mint green tourmaline ring from Alex Sepkus I got a serious case of the heart eyes. Mint green tourmalines are found in Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and are increasingly hard to find. If you believe in the healing power of crystals, mint green tourmalines are said to have an energy field that harmonizes with your personal energy, inducing within you a deep calmness, equanimity, and feeling of completeness. They might be onto something, because this ring definitely completes me - and admiring it keeps me calm while sitting in Seattle's horrible traffic!
