Our commitment to diversity and inclusion
Fox’s Seattle is a family-owned and operated business that values all of its customers as though they are family; that’s why accessibility, diversity and inclusion are important values that we take very seriously. Whether you use a screen reader, screen magnification or any other kind of assistive technology, we want our website to be accessible to you and easy to navigate.
Accomplishing accessibility goals
We set our web accessibility standards high and have taken great strides to achieve them. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that our website meets all laws and guidelines, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, to create a usable experience for all people. We are continuously educating ourselves and learning more, and working with our industry partners to share what we’re learning.
How our site is changing
Here are some of the things we're doing to make our site easy to use for everyone:
Improving site structure
We're working to edit the pages of our website to include appropriate heading structure, embedded links, skip links and other formatting for improved ease of use with assistive technology.
Adding text equivalents
We're adding alternative text, captions and audio description to images and videos so users who experience difficulty seeing or hearing have a text equivalent to interact with.
Building for full keyboard access
We are reworking our site with keyboard accessibility in mind so that users can easily tab through a page to find the content they need.
Creating site consistency
We are creating templates for our site to ensure consistency. Once you're familiar with how our pages and menus work, you can expect similar functionality across the site, each time you visit.
