vOctober has two beautiful birthstones, opal and tourmaline. Opals are often associated with creativity and inspiration. The play of colors within the stone can resemble a vivid imagination and spark new ideas. They are believed to enhance one's creativity and encourage artistic expression. Tourmaline, the second October birthstone, is one of our favorite gemstones. Egyptian legend says that tourmaline received its colors as it passed through a rainbow on its way up from Earth’s core. We have some very exciting news for our longtime clients - Mariko is back at Fox's as a guest star sales associate! She retired in 2017 after working at Fox's for 29 years. She will be here on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through the holidays, and is looking forward to seeing all of you again (and buying herself some new jewelry).
