Happy April! This month is all about diamonds. If you are an April baby, it's a great time to treat yourself! New releases from Nomos Glashutte are coming! The Club Campus is on the way in two new colors for spring: Electric Green and Cream Coral. Call, text, or email to be called when these beauties arrive in store. We've also restocked February's new release, the Tangente Blue Gold Neomatik in 36mm and 39mm. 

New Alex Sepkus is on the way too! We love his whimsical, wonderful jewelry and could not resist this cute little bug pendant for spring. We also just received some gorgeous one-of-a-kind gemstone necklaces in green tourmaline, emerald, grey Tahitian pearls, and multicolored beryl beads. Many of them can be mix and match if you have a vario clasp!

April's birthstone is diamond, the best-known and most sought-after of all gemstones. Diamonds were first discovered in India and have been traded since the 4th century BC. Diamond lore over the centuries has said that these gems are an antidote to poison, ward off the evil eye, and protect against the plague (it's worth a try). Rustic diamonds from Todd Reed are a unique take on a classic.

One of our favorite cases in the store is our selection of antique and vintage diamonds from Single Stone. These diamonds were cut by hand in the late 1800's and early 1900's and passed down through generations. Single Stone specializes in creating timeless new jewelry with these rare beauties. They are also the most sustainable diamond option!

We love Sethi Couture because not only do they have white diamonds, they have yellow, champagne, pink, green, orange, and black diamonds too! Our annual Todd Reed Trunk Show is this month! Join us November 17-19 to see his incredible collection of one-of-a-kind jewelry, made completely by hand with reclaimed metals in Boulder, Colorado. Todd works with rustic and white diamonds, patina sterling silver, palladium, and luscious 18k yellow and rose gold.

We will be welcoming Denise from Sethi Couture for a special one-day pop-up on Saturday, November 19th! Sethi Couture is best known for their stacking rings (our philosophy - if you can still bend your knuckle there is room for another). We also love their stud earrings, diamond pendants, bangle bracelets, and other everyday jewelry essentials. 

Manuel from Bayco Jewels will be visiting us from New York on November 16-17. If you are looking for something very special for the holidays, please let us know! Manuel will be taking private in-store appointments, and is happy to curate a selection of fine emerald, sapphire, and ruby jewelry for you to view.

New Arman Sarkisyan jewelry is here! The sweetest baby bird locket in hand-engraved 22k gold, and baby bird studs in oxidized silver and diamonds. We also have the Louiza studs with rose cut diamonds in oxidized silver. Arman's jewelry is so intricate and unique, it always makes our heart skip a beat!

Those with November birthdays have two beautiful birthstones to choose from: topaz and citrine. Topaz comes in a rainbow of colors; citrine is prized for its yellow and orange hues. Our annual Todd Reed trunk show is right around the corner on October 18th and 19th. Autumn diamonds and fall leaves are the perfect combination. John will be here with all new one-of-a-kind pieces, including Todd's new tourmaline collection, hand-crafted from start to finish in Boulder, Colorado. 

 

Denise from Sethi Couture will be here on October 23rd from 1pm to 6pm to preview the new fall collection. Bring your favorite rings and let her work her stacking magic on your fingers! She'll also have their new monogrammable pendant collection, perfect for gift giving to yourself or someone else.

Mark your calendars now for our annual Alex Sepkus trunk show on December 5th, 6th, and 7th. This is one of our favorite traditions and is not to be missed! Candy will be here with brand new designs and one-of-a-kind pieces, and this is the perfect weekend to take in the festive holiday atmsophere at the Fairmont. 

 

Holiday hours will be starting soon. In November we will be open on Mondays in addition to our regular Tuesday - Saturday schedule. After Thanksgiving, we'll be open every day until Christmas: Sundays from 12pm to 5pm, and Monday  -Saturday from 10am to 6pm, closing early on Christmas Eve.

We are thrilled to introduce Jennifer Dawes to our Fox's designer family. She is passionate about creating jewelry using recycled gold and sustainably sourced gemstones, and makes it all in her hometown of Sonoma, California. Jerri is currently in Tokyo, Japan for the Mariners season opening games, and on her first day there she had the opportunity to visit Suwa! Jerri has a gorgeous Suwa diamond band that she wears every single day, so she was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit the Suwa headquarters and meet with Mr. Suwa himself, who will be curating a gem and mineral exhibit at the Smithsonian in 2021. We were honored to receive a visit this month from Mr. Yasukazu Suwa, the third-generation owner of Suwa, a Japanese company known for the precise setting of every gemstone in their beautifully crafted jewelry designs. Our annual Todd Reed trunk show is right around the corner, on October 19^th and 20^th. March babies have an especially lovely birthstone - calming, soothing aquamarine. Aquamarine's name comes from the Latin for "water of the sea." Just like seawater, the color can range from pale blue, to greenish blue, to a deeper blue. The deeper the blue, the more valuable the aquamarine will be. Aquamarines are a member of the beryl family, which includes emeralds and morganites. They are naturally very clean gemstones, and it is rare to see inclusions. Aquamarines are found in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Africa, Colombia, and the United States.

There are many myths and legends about aquamarines. Roman legend has it that that the stone absorbs young love: “When blessed and worn, it joins in love, and does great things.” Aquamarine was also considered the most appropriate gift for a groom to give his bride for their marriage. Today, many brides love to wear aquamarine for their "something blue." The Greeks and the Romans knew the aquamarine as the sailor’s gem, ensuring safe passage across the seas. In Medieval times, the stone was thought to reawaken the love of married couples, and today is the traditional anniversary gift for a 19th wedding anniversary.
